We are going on a Rhine cruise and wanted a guide book that mainly covered the Rhine as we are not likely to get very far from it on a river cruise. It seemed that in spite of their popularity Rhine cruises have been totally ignored by guide book writers, so we were going to need little bits of several guide books to cover our journey. But no, this little gem turned up, just the size, scope and depth we needed. Well done Mr Altman.

A nice little book that we used as we traveled from the Danube to the Saar on a river cruise. We may use it again on later cruises so it is excellent value for money, very neat and small to carry.

Helpful and compact. Shame it's the only Rhine guidebook I could find here.

Smaller than I expected but on reflection will fit easily in pocket. Lots of useful info

It might look like a very small and compact guide to the Rhine (as well as the Mosel, Main and Neckar), and small and compact it is, but it's full of interesting information. If, like me, you're a bit of a "factophile" then this little book contains loads and I'd certainly recommend it for slipping into a back pocket or side of your rucksack.

very useful but written in the wrong direction - most people travel upstream on the Rhine.

The perfect companion for our Mossel/Rhine cruise.
