Nowhere in Berlin is more than a stone's throw from a bar or coffee-house. Whether you're after 'kaffee und kuchen' or something a little stronger, the Rough Guide Map will point you in the right direction. There's full coverage of the beautiful parks, lakes and canals on the city's outskirts and, if you stay out late, you'll still be able to find your way back to your hotel as, like every map in the series, the Berlin map is designed to be clearly legible under streetlights.

The Kindle edition is very poor - tiny non-zoomable maps and an index that only lists the top level. For example, if want to find out about restaurants in a particular area you have to go the eating out section and then just keep scrolling until you reach the zone you are interested in. A complete waste of money - wish I'd bought the print edition.

I have never given maps much thought before: Bought this map after amazon review recommendation.Yes, excellent. Extremely easy to use & see where going etc. (Although also used another U bahn map as well as routes slightly more detailed than on Rough Guide map)It covers Berlin but but you will need further maps for Wannsee & daytrips from berlin. Overall it was a much better city map than the one my companion bought out there. It folds well is slim & light & the coated paper is supposedly waterproof so map doesn't all fall apart after 1 day's use! Still looks unused.I too shall look out for similar type of map for future trips.

This long awaited new edition from Rough Guides seemed to be up to date however, for me, it did not have the same line on out of the way places. I've been reading Rough Guides for over a decade (I still use my Germany book and the currencly is Marks) and came to expect some 'local knowledge' and places that were inexpensive and authentic. I did not get that from this book. Case and point--zero listings for the entire section of Moabit, which is an up and coming trending area.

Came in really handy on my recent trip to Berlin!

We took several guides away with us but this was the only one we carried constantly. A superb map and guide, wonderful coverage of the public transport system including U and S bahn and even shows the bus routes, which we found invaluable. All of the sights are clearly shown. This was the first map of its kind we'd purchased (and did so by mistake! thinking it was a mini guide book), but in future a map/guide of this nature will be our first purchase for any city breaks.
